RBI Grade B 2023- Eligibility Qualification

To be eligible for the RBI Grade B 2023 Exam, candidates must meet the requirements below (according to the previous year’s RBI Grade B Notification):

Education Qualification:-

Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR)–(General)	• Graduation in any subject or an equivalent technical or professional qualification with a minimum grade point average of 60% (or 50% for SC, ST, or PwBD applicants) or post-graduation or an equivalent technical qualification with a minimum grade point average of 55% (or pass marks for SC, ST, or PwBD applicants). Note: • Candidates with professional and technical qualifications that are recognized by the government as equivalent to professional and technical graduation will be eligible for admission to the exam. These qualifications must be obtained after Class XIIth and must be taken full-time from a recognized university or institute. • Candidates who have passed the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India’s Final Examination for Membership are also eligible to apply. OR • Any such full-time course taken after graduation from a recognized university or institute that is at least two years long and is acknowledged by the government as being comparable to post-graduation shall be eligible for entrance to the exam.
Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR)–DEPR	• Requirements: a. A Master’s Degree in Economics, Econometrics, Quantitative Economics, Mathematical Economics, Integrated Economics Course, or Finance from a reputable Indian or Foreign University or Institute with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in the sum of all semesters or years. OR b. PGDM/ MBA Finance from an accredited Indian or foreign university or institution with a minimum of 55% overall or an equivalent grade. OR c. A Master’s degree in economics from an accredited Indian or foreign university or institute, in any of the subfields of economics, such as agricultural, business, developmental, applied, etc., with a minimum of 55% overall or an equivalent grade. d. (i) Candidates with a Master’s degree and research or teaching experience in an accredited Indian or foreign university or institute are entitled to a one-year, maximum three-year reduction in the upper age limit. Probationary time won’t count toward experience
Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR)–DSIM	A Master’s degree in statistics, mathematical statistics, mathematical economics, econometrics, or statistics and informatics from the IITs in Kharagpur or Bombay, with a minimum of 55% overall or an equivalent grade across all semesters or years, is required. OR b. A Master’s degree in mathematics with a minimum of 55% overall or an equivalent grade, plus a one-year postgraduate diploma in statistics or a closely related field from a reputable institution. OR c. An Indian Statistical Institute M. Stat. degree with a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 55%. OR d. The Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA), which is jointly provided by ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur, and IIM Calcutta, requires a minimum of 55% overall or an equivalent grade.

Age Limit:-

The RBI has established age requirements to sit for the RBI Officer (Grade “B”) examination. To apply for the RBI Grade B exam in 2023, candidates must be between the ages of 21 and 30 (inclusive). The upper age restriction shall be 32 and 34 years, respectively, for candidates with M.Phil. and Ph.D. credentials.

Candidates from the reserved category shall receive a relaxation in the upper age limit in accordance with the rules established by the Board.
